As celebrities such as Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo recently named their daughter “Dusty Rose”, this could not have happened at a better time as pink has proven to be one of Autumn/Winter 2016’s most sought after colours with its soft winter appeal.

An outstanding characteristics of a softer touch of pink is that it uplifts and compliments darker shades often worn during this season, consequently providing a “warming effect” on those cold days.

The question of how best to wear pink during this season is vital, and we would suggest wearing with other neutral season colours, for example grey.

To wear this colour, you do not have to wear pink from head to toe as it can be incorporated through your winter accessories such as gloves, scarves and hats or worn with standard accessories such as boots, bags and jewellery. For those who aren’t too fond of pink, there is the option of an even more subtle incorporation, which is via nail paint colour. This subtler incorporation would highlight you are aware of this trend without having to scream or shout about it.

I’ll let you in on a secret which is this colour will be carried over to the next season (SS17) and will continue to be a huge choice, as seen on the catwalk of fashion houses such as Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs to mention a few.

Our recommendation? Whether excessive or subtle, get a step ahead and become a trail blazer. Invest now and enjoy the benefits of wearing across two seasons!
